In case of marionettes wearing clothes, the body consists of a carcass made of wood and metal. We define the overall center of gravity, the corresponding weight is then cast from lead and placed in the proper position. The joints are ball-and-socket or roller joints, we only use leather for the wrists. For ecological and durability reasons we model the body from hemp.
In case of naked or scantily clad marionettes the body is made of wood only. We carefully determine the function and freedom and restrictions of movement of every single limb so that the puppet will only make movements that are in line with its anatomy.
