The head is structured in white and painted in several layers. In lighting conditions prevalent in a theater, clear lines make for very vivid facial expressions.
Black eyes seemingly change shape when the head is moved. The marionette seems to close its eyes once the head is lowered.
Hands and feet for the most part are made of limewood. They are sawn out and cut as a pair to make sure they fit.
